Daf Yomi Study Day at Pesti Shul

On Sunday 6th March, in honour of the worldwide Siyum Hashass, the Pesti Shul in Budapest, organised a one-day event dedicated to the various forms of Talmud study. There was a group study of a full page of the Talmud, a text study of Talmudic Aggadoth and an in-depth shiur on Conversion in the early Talmudic literature, concluding with a Havruta period where participants were provided with the opportunity to gain insight into the traditional Gemoro study method in pairs in small groups with the guidance of professionally trained educators.

The Pesti Shul is closely affiliated with the CER and is a growing community of young professionals who seek to enhance their everyday life with Torah learning. The CER recently was intrumental in presenting thisd shul with a Sefer Torah from the the Vilna Torah scrolls that had been rescued and repaired.
