Chazanim u’Va’alei Tephila for the Yomim Noraim
Dear Rabbi, For many of those attending Tefillot during the Yomim Noraim the traditional Nusschaot and Neginot are very important to them. Many are fortunate to attend Batei Knesset filled to the brim with hundreds, even thousands of congregants, led by Chazanim of renown and with beautiful voices. But for others, the familiar sounds that inspire the essence of Teshuva are but a distant memory. This need no longer be the case. Every year, the Conference of European Rabbis is approached by Chazanim, Ba’alei Tephila, Ba’alei Kriah and Ba’alei Tekiah. Many of these people wish to offer their services at this holiest period of the Jewish calendar to serve those communities who may not be able to provide such facilities because of their own limited personnel or financial resources. These people come from many different walks of life and have experience as Shlichei Tsibur according to the traditions of every type of European synagogue. If your Kehilla needs such assistance, the Conference of European Rabbis want to hear from you. By contacting the names below, we will put you in touch with the people who can assist you in leading services for these holy days. Similarly, if you know of people in your own communities who are interested in helping others, please contact us and we will add those names to our pool. The Yomim Noraim have always been at the centre of our Jewish lives bringing together Jews at the synagogue and bringing them back home into the community.
