Worldwide Siyum HaShas Linked to Lublin

The Shema Yisroel School Network and the Agudas Israel of America, supported by the Conference of European Rabbis, will be bringing children from all over Eastern Europe to Lublin on the evening of Tuesday 1st March to participate in the largest siyum ever to have taken place.  Hundreds of thousands of Jews throughout the world will be simultaneously in touch at that time.

They will be video-linked to the main event in New York, which is being organised by the Agudas Israel of America and attended by the Moetzet Gedole Hatorah of the USA.  This historic event will be taking place in the birthplace of the Daf Hayomi concept conceived by the Gaon Harav Meir Shapiro stzl.  The video-link will also be beamed to various communities throughout the world who are participating simultaneously in this unique event. 

The organisers of this siyum in Lublin are Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, Y Bleich, and Rabbi Shlomo Noach Mandel of the Reichman Foundation in Canada.  The Chief Rabbi of Poland, Rabbi Michael Schudrich, together with Mr David Singer of Bobov, New York have been instrumental in ensuring the feasibility and practicalities of this great and momentous occasion.
